2023/24 is in the books, for Hull City at least, who can only enjoy the Play-Offs vicariously after narrowly missing out. Still, a season of growth for a young manager and an even younger squad, and a season notable for a growing unity between those in charge and those in the stands.

It was also our first season in Kappa, or at least the Turkish licensee of the venerable Italian brand. As you’d expect, this meant skinny fit shirts, multiple ‘Omini’ logos and a range of classically styled leisurewear that grown men clamoured for.

Intriguingly, the primary kit had an emphasis on black, smaller fit shirts had just three full amber stripes though amber numbers brightened up the plain black backs. This allowed for an all-amber change kit which meant we could wear our club colours home and away in all but two games, and for those occasions we had a smart all-blue with amber trim third kit. Gaffer Liam Rosenior preferred us in amber and black, or black and amber whenever possible.

Of the three ‘keeper kits, the Stabilo Boss highlighter pink set was the ‘primary’ keeper ensemble, but the other fluoro tones of blue and green got some use too.
