This long sleeved black away shirt was worn during City’s long awaited return to the second tier after successive promotions. By 2005/06 what was the Second Division and later the First Division of the Football League was renamed the Championship and sponsored by Coca Cola.

The versatile Ryan France wore this shirt at Norwich, it has the Football League’s standardised letters and numbers applied in polyurethane on the back, and Sporting ID’s multi-layered competition patches on the sleeves, as well as some mysterious sticky goo on one sleeve that we can’t get shift! These shirts were used in the 2006/07 too, but with back of shirt sponsor Gemtec’s wordmark applied under the numbers.
