City’s 2000/01 away shirt was given an early first outing, as the Tigers faced Blackpool away on the opening day of the season. The first batch of these shirts had yellow felt letters spelling the sponsor’s name, whereas a later batch used vinyl appliques. The felt patch on this shirt, kindly donated to us by Mark Greaves himself, indicates it belongs to the first batch, and was likely used at Bloomfield Road.

Baggy shirts were in vogue at this time, and City issued all players with size XL jerseys. The navy shirts with maroon panels and yellow trim were also used at Barnet, Mansfield, Shrewsbury and Torquay.
