We don’t know what game (or games) this Jay Simpson shirt was worn in as it has been laundered, but it came directly from the club’s kitroom. It COULD have been worn in 2011/12 as an away shirt, but it’s more likely to have been used in 2012/13 when the ‘Argentina blue’ shirt was used as part of a third kit, utilised when the all black away kit was not a viable option, such as at Wolves.


Naturally, the sleeves carry the nPower Football League competition patches, and on the back the official player name letters and numbers sit above the SLS secondary shirt sponsor patch. The main sponsor applique on the front of the shirt shows signs of extensive wear and washing. The third kit was used at Watford, Leyton Orient (in the FA Cup) and at Wolves (as seen below).
